I forgot my password. How do I recover it?

Section titled “I forgot my password. How do I recover it?”

Choose Forgot password on the sign-in screen: you get a link by email and you get your account and your data back — see Forgot your password. That was not the case before 25 August 2026, when forgetting it without a recovery key was final.

Not directly: Arca derives it from your accounts. It’s the currency of the oldest account still open and on budget. To change it, change which account it comes from — the manual setting was removed because it silently pushed accounts in other currencies out of the budget. Remember to enter the rates you need in Settings → Exchange rates — see Multiple currencies.

I re-imported the same bank statement by mistake — does that duplicate my transactions?

Section titled “I re-imported the same bank statement by mistake — does that duplicate my transactions?”

No: the import preview separates already-linked rows from new ones, so re-importing an overlapping period doesn’t create duplicates — see CSV import and export.

A transaction is locked, why can’t I edit it?

Section titled “A transaction is locked, why can’t I edit it?”

It’s reconciled — see Transactions. It is then entirely locked: no field, not even the note, can be changed. To correct it, open it and use Unlock to edit in the panel. This is intentional: it prevents an already-confirmed bank reconciliation from being thrown off.

Yes. Press ? at any time to display the full list. ⌘K (Ctrl K off Mac) opens the command palette, Esc closes the open panel, and in the register J / K (or / ) move the row cursor while opens the row. To enter several transactions in a row: T opens the form and ⌘⇧ Enter saves while keeping the account and the date — see Transactions.

From Settings → Data & privacy → Delete my account. The action is permanent and irreversible: your account and all your data are deleted from our servers and this device, with no possible recovery.

You can export a full copy of your data at any time from Settings → Data & privacy → Export my data, then restore it later with Restore a backup — restoring merges with your current data without deleting anything.
